Alyssa M. Batula Recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for Excellence in Electrical Engineering
Alyssa M. Batula continues studies in digital signal processing and robotics
WAYNE, PA, September 07, 2010, Alyssa M. Batula, Student at Drexel University, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in electrical engineering.
Currently starting her second year at Drexel, Alyssa M. Batula is pursuing a doctorate in electrical engineering with a particular focus on digital signal processing and robotics. She conducts research at the Music Entertainment Technology Laboratory and attends classes. Her research focuses on teaching robots to interact with music through piano playing and dance. She brings to her studies a love of learning and fascination with robots and intelligent machines. Ms. Batula earned her bachelor's degree in electrical and computer engineering in 2009 from Lafayette College. She attributes her success to hard work and the support that she receives from her family.
Ms. Batula is a member of the Society of Women Engineers, the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Eta Kappa Nu, and Tau Beta Pi. She names The Newman Association as her favorite charity. In five years, Ms. Batula aspires to earn a Ph.D. and continue her current research or work in the field of medical robotics.
