GL Solutions to provide "all-in-one" system for South Dakota Department of Health

BEND, OR, September 03, 2011 /HiTech PR News/ -- GL Solutions today announced that they will provide the South Dakota Department of Health (DOH) - Office of Health Protection (OHP) an electronic health system.
OHP protects public health by conducting routine inspections of food services, lodging establishments, and campgrounds, complaint investigations and by licensing facilities to assure health and safety standards are met.
Currently OHP uses two separate data systems to track licensing and inspection history for licensed establishments. The licensure system was originally developed in-house in 1998 while the inspection system consists of a combination of manual and electronic processes.
GL Solutions has been contracted to meet the agency's need for a new and more effective license, financial tracking, and inspection system.
Clark Hepper, Office of Health Protection Administrator stated that the "new system will enable the South Dakota Department of Health to offer a more efficient way in doing business with the licensing, inspection and records management for our licensed establishments."
